The Mobile Alliance for Global Good

I have been a little quiet on this blog as of late.  And for good reason!  I have been totally heads-down on a new project, the Mobile Alliance for Global Good, the brainchild of Larry Irving, telco guru and all-around great guy.  Larry brought me on board to develop the strategy and business plan for MAGG, which was a very fun and challenging project.

I think we have arrived at a place that offers real value at a critical moment in the rapidly evolving story of mobile technology for good.  With more than 6 billion people in the world now connected via mobile phones, we are truly in a new world of potential to solve big problems.  The big question is — how?  How can we leverage all this potential to create real change?  The way forward is not easy or obvious.  Those of us who have struggled to build and launch technology solutions into markets with willing customers and decent business models understand just how daunting it is to achieve real success where there are market failures and customers with few resources.

We did a soft launch last week at the Social Good Summit at the 92nd Street Y in NYC.  Larry killed it.  Take a look at the video.  If you prefer the one-pager, click here.  Enjoy!  And email me if you want to learn more!
